The original source of that box art image is WinFuture, who also says RTM happens on July 15th: http://winfuture.de/news,87958.html

Also here is a higher quality version: http://i.imgur.com/CmTNp7Z.png

But...How's it a RTM permanent license for Insiders if it requires post-RTM builds to continue?

It's a permanent license but that doesn't change the fact that the system updates and newer builds are forced :p

It just fixes the borders

chrome_1.png

Finally :D :D :D

Now just update their design to something more flat and maybe square :p

And they should remove the ugly avatar button from the titlebar, somehow it's no longer possible with chrome://flags

Would you mind sharing that 8K version of your background, please?

Windows Hello Face Recognition Demoed:

Also quick tip for those on W10 Mobile:

Wifi now only toggles it on/off when tapped. However, long press wifi, bluetooth, vpn, settings and you go into the settings app to select from the list like in WP 8!

I REALLY hate the media sometimes:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/07/10/free-windows-10-charges

Gordon Kelly and his "'Free' Windows 10 Now Looks A Terrible Deal" article

and

http://www.computerworld.com/article/2945796/microsoft-windows/microsoft-to-provide-free-upgrades-to-windows-10-for-2-to-4-years.html

Gregg Keiser  and his article "Microsoft to provide free upgrades to Windows 10 for 2 to 4 years"

Keep in mind that this Gordon Kelly is the same guy who posted this crap:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/07/10/apple-ios-8-4-upgrade-risk/

Really, how the hell do such people get a job in the 'media'? he is the reason why I can't be bothered getting a subscription to online publications when *that* is what is provided as 'insightful opinion' and I'm expected to pay for crap like that.

Guess what? DWM is hacked on Windows 10, those thin borders? It is done with a trick:

Looks like microsoft used the same method for borderless windows as customizers did for years :p I remember disabling blur so I could use the shadow images as border images.

Of course they weren't thinner, that would break compatibility with so many applications. Not only that, a "real" thin border would be harder to resize as well.

So... you're praising them for doing it this way? I have to say OSX's nearly borderless windows are not hard to resize at all.

Yes, like I stated it's the best method as it doesn't cause any visual problems with legacy apps as some other methods do.

Like The_Decryptor stated, the side hitbox on OS X applications is what makes it easy to grab and resize. There's a little area to the left and right of the edges that you can grab onto. By making the borders invisible, they retain the same hitbox as previous versions of window.

Indeed and not to forget we need this hitbox for touchscreens, that osx has a smaller hitborder is fine since osx doesn't has support for touchscreens anyway.

Mouse users should get the option of a small one though.

    • Dude, it's a .reg away from a permanent modification. Look it up and keep it. The default is what's the best UX for the majority of the userbase, non techie people.

    • Studio MDHR reveals Cuphead sequel and an 8-bit platformer spin-off by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Studio MDHR has been rather silent about its next major gaming project since the release of Cuphead back in 2017. However, that ended today during the Summer Game Fest presentation, with the studio revealing not one but two project announcements. First, the studio confirmed that it is currently in the middle of developing a brand-new Cuphead game, bringing back the iconic characters for another adventure. Just like the last game, this is slated to be a fully hand-animated endeavor. This also means there isn't a release date attached to it yet. “Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do here at Studio MDHR,” says co-founder Chad Moldenhauer. “When it came time to peel back the curtain and share a little bit about what we’ve been up to, we couldn’t imagine a more fun way to do so than with today’s Special Bulletin. The studio is working on this new Cuphead with help from Toronto’s Stop Motion Department and Continue Agency. At the same time, Studio MDHR also revealed that another part of the team has been working on a different Cuphead installment. Dubbed the Mighty Cuphead Adventure, this is taking a different art direction to the original. "In true Studio MDHR fashion, this game goes beyond just taking inspiration from the classics of the 1980s… it is actually built with technology of the era," the studio explained. "That's right: Mighty Cuphead Adventure is programmed in assembly language and designed with the exacting specifications of the Sega Master System home gaming console in mind." Aside from releasing on PC and modern consoles, Mighty Cuphead Adventure will even be playable on the 1985-released Sega Master System. A release date has not been announced just yet.
    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.
