What is stopping you from doing it now?

I do not have the final release, it will be likely released tomorrow . I also do not want to wait till 8.2. I have dropped out 3 times and came back. So my absence may be only temporary.

Is it just me, or is 64-bit Chrome (when maximized) cut off on the top and bottom (looks like they extend outside by a few pixels)?

If you have that problem, download TinyWindowsBorders and get rid of the 4px border padding, that gets rid of that issue for me, though I hear it's fixed in the latest builds.

That issue was fixed with build 10388

I haven't upgraded to 14388, i'm still on 14385

Anybody else not able to get the touch numpad on screen on the lockscreen?

I had no problem with the previous version but now, no matter what i do, i can't get it to show up.

Edge still has some weird issues with Neowin. Certain articles you can get to if you click on the news part, but clicking on the same article in the mini-spy gives you an error. Looking at the address it always has a weird symbol in it.

Quoting doesn't really work. Only if you first click in the teext box and then scroll back up and click quote. Really annoying

Liking some ones post sometimes works, sometimes gives an error if you use touch.

I'm finding, apart from the issue with the window borders that there are no stability issues with Chrome on these builds, it's mostly a cosmetic bug. That aside, it certainly feels stable enough to be released pretty soon.

It will be in about 1 hour I think.

It is the RTM

If this is indeed the RTM then you should be able to leave the insider program in this version.

If not it will only allow you to postpone for a few days.

Which one is it?

Read what I posted and try to comprehend it. The last Build said Release_escrow. Are you in The IP?

All you are doing is speculating that this will be the "RTM", there is no confirmation from MS yet about this. So please don't tell me i struggle with reading comprehension, we all know that's your thing ;)

Yes i am in the insider program. I don't have a very fast internet connection so i don't download every single new version that comes out.

Forgot who i read it from, but it's either Thurrott or Daniel Rubino. once the final version is released you should be able to leave the insider program and switch back to the normal releases. If it's not the final version all you can do is postpone the new releases for 1 to 7 days.

Since you seem to have installed this, I'm asking you. Can you leave the program now or can you just postpone. That should give you an indication if this is indeed the "RTM" version or not.

I have left the program on 3 separate occasions I started on 02/19/2015 and then I left when it went final to 10240. When 10586 went Final last November I left again. I came back to it again in January and have stayed in since then. Once you become an insider you can drop out and come back as many times as you wish.  I was told that it would go RTM on The 15th of July as it has to get to all of the OEMs before August 2nd when it goes public. I have no idea about the Phone build.

So can you try and leave the program right now if you installed this latest version.

What does it let you do? Postpone Fast/Slow builds for a few days or does it let you select production ring, or whatever it is called.

You can opt out entirely but this is not the RTM I was incorrect in saying that it was. Sorry..

    • Google are hyprocrites for signing this. They have been pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft, only they do it on Android and ChromeOS.
    • In some countries the law has forced Microsoft to display a menu on a fresh install of Windows which asks which web browser you want and it will install that browser. This doesn't add any bloat to Windows. It simply an additional step when setting up a new PC.
    • Chrome is also a first party browser on Android and ChromeOS. And on those systems, Google is pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft does on Windows.
    • Unofficial script lets you install unreleased Windows 11 features without Microsoft Account by Sayan Sen Microsoft has been steadily evolving the Windows Insider Program over the years, introducing new channels and testing paths that allow enthusiasts to experience upcoming and yet-to-be-released Windows features (some interesting hidden ones too) before they reach the public. However, one long-standing requirement has remained largely unchanged as users are generally expected to enroll in the Program and with a Microsoft account. That's where a third-party tool called "OfflineInsiderEnroll" can help. OfflineInsiderEnroll is said to be a lightweight script that enables access to Windows Insider Program builds on systems that are not signed in with a Microsoft account. Essentially the tool configures the necessary Insider settings locally and hence allows users to select and switch between available preview channels while continuing to receive builds through the normal Windows Update channel. If you are wondering how it manages to do so, it is made possible by a Registry value known as TestFlags. When configured to"0x20", Windows stops communicating with Microsoft's online Insider enrollment services thus preventing locally configured Insider settings from being overwritten. This allows the script to apply its own channel configuration directly through the Registry as Windows Update does not verify whether a device has been officially enrolled in the Insider Program or not. Previously the utility has had already supported the traditional Insider branches including Dev, Beta, and Release Preview. However following Microsoft’s recent restructuring of its preview channels, the script has now been updated. The latest OfflineInsiderEnroll version, 2.6.6, adds support for the newly introduced Insider channel lineup. As such, users can now choose from several Experimental channels in addition to Beta and Release Preview options. The update also retains tools for refreshing the Insider cache, resetting Insider settings, and completely stopping Insider enrollment when needed. Keep in mind though that will need elevated privileges when running the script (run as Admin). You can get the latest version of OfflineInsiderEnroll from this page on its official GitHub repo.
