Shameless copy of Kvally's ReCore thread for Forza 6, I know we had the announcement thread awhile back. Let's make this offical, surprised there hasn't been talk of this yet the trailer is mind blowing.

For what ever reason I can't edit my original thread post to update broken youtube videos.. Sorry for the lack of updates but I really do hate this new IB. Can I even do a full reply or only quick? :s

Either way this game is now GOLD.

Demo is also launched and mind blowing, best racing graphics and physics I have seen to date. If you haven't already grabbed it to try before the official launch get it now.

Played demo. Liked it a lot. Already had Ultimate Edition on preorder.

Rain/wet effects were awesome. The 60fps was solid and 24 cars on track added some extra challenge. This is going to be a fun game!

Hope they add some more 1980s cars though.

If you order the Ultimate Edition you can play on the 10th!

I love the game, but not THAT much. I mean I have played the heck out of every one of them, but I don't need all those extra cars. I never even get to use half the cars in the game. I tend to find my stride with a select 30 cars or so.

Forza 6 Puddles Will Ruin Your Day In The Best Way

Forza 6 Puddles Will Ruin Your Day In The Best Way

I fell in love with Forza Motorsport 6 the first time I hit a dynamic puddle at high speed and my BMW went apes**t.

Having spent the better part of a year enjoying the freedom of Forza Horizon 2, I wasn’t sure I was ready to return to the structured races of the core Forza series—the grind, as Jalopnik called it in their review.

Indeed, after my first few races I was feeling bored. Then things began to pick up.

First there was the Indianapolis Invitational, one of the new showcase events that help spice up the regular career path.

My wife walked into the living room during my first go at this F1 event and asked if I was okay. This was because I was whimpering like a frightened puppy. The sense of speed was intense. The sense of motion sickness was pretty intense as well.

But where Forza Motorsport 6 really got me was the first race set on a rainy track. Forza Horizon 2’s much-touted dynamic weather system is pretty but relatively harmless, so I expected a similar experience in this game.

Nope. As in real life, when your car hits one of the puddles gathered on Forza 6’s tracks, it sloshes through it. The wheels hitting the water drag. And when one side of a car is suddenly attempting to go much slower than the other, bad things happen.

Here I am recreating my first puddle crash in a BMW on Germany’s famous NuvaRing track (not its real name).

That’s exactly how I would expect my car to react in that situation, except my car is a minivan and couldn’t hit 90 miles per hour if it were shot out of a massive cannon. Also, I probably wouldn’t keep driving afterwards.

Now whenever a race comes up and it’s sunny and dry I get a little sad, but that just makes the rare rainy days that much happier.

They've done such a great job with the physics in the rain it's scary, you can't trust the race line at all, not when there's a big puddle of water right in the middle of it, you have to not follow the line and avoid the water as much as possible.

What do you guys think of this if you bought it?

Absolutely love it. I'm not sure how much more they can do with racing games though with current technology. I don't see the graphics getting better and what else do you do with the gameplay? My previous favorite was Forza Horizon 2. I love Forza 6 but I'm hard pressed really to tell you why it's better. Granted, I haven't gotten very far yet.

Caved yesterday and bought the Forza console just to bump up to 1TB of storage and I'm a sucker for this game that much. If anyone wants me to post some close ups let me know. Controller has new 3.5mm jack also.

Gave my day one away to my sister who has been making do on one of my old 360s.

The more I play this the more I'm not sure how they'll ever improve on a racing sim this gen.

Yeah there's only so much they can do until a major innovation in hardware. Still though, the game is great and the raining environments are terrific.

    • It certainly is a waste of time clicking it if you're not interested in Windows 11's development. If that were the case for you, you could easily ignore the headline and move on given the headline makes it clear that's what the article is about. Instead, you're contradicting yourself here calling it a waste of time yet clicking on the headline and commenting... If it were a totally different topic being presented than what's stated in the headline, then you'd certainly have a point, 'cause that's totally deceptive and unavoidable if not actually interested. On the contrary, here you can totally avoid it if you're truly not interested.
    • No, it did not work. I did not read the article. I saw the title in my Feedly feed and came to continue putting pressure about such titles on a website I used to love. In fact, based on your reply, it seems you think it's fine to visit click bait title articles to find out what it's about, to waste people's time. That's up to you, mate. I remember when news websites had pride in their content and therefore didn't need to resort to cheap tactics.
