Link from front page news to front page forum

Afternoon gents,

i actually prefer to browse the comments on news items, in the front page news forum section rather than on the the actual news item.

as the latest box now goes there, is there any chance of a link from the news item to its direct forum post? Currently I have to hope it's in the sidebar, or dig it out from the forum.

This is by design, we want to be able to show comments in the news article (main page) but also mirror them as forum topics for members.

I usually go manually to the main page news item if I need to, but adding a forum topic link in news? IDK maybe we could add a link in there to 'discuss on  our forums' but it's kind of redundant when the news article itself is full featured too.

I personally just find it a lot easier to follow the conversation in the forum style.

a simple button 'view this article in forum' or similar, would suffice. I understand if you'd rather keep people on the front page though.

so...       is   = that it will never get done?  especially with '...'  around the 'list' 

with today's tetris fiasco, i think it is very useful to add a link on news post to go to forum news post and vice versa

I'm not a dev and there is a bunch of more important things to fix, it'll get done eventually.

It would be useful if you could sync the comments that have been read on the front page with the comments in the forum.  I've been finding that I'll read an article on the front page and all it's comments.  Later, I come across the same article in the forum but when I open it I'm taken to the beginning of the thread rather than the first unread comment.
