Download Speed: 16.81 Mbps

Upload Speed: 730 Kbps

Roadrunner/Time Warner (Northeast Ohio/Northwest Pennsylvania)

I was told that within a month, my speed will be boosted to 50 Mbps download. :)

Should be 100Mbps (accorded to the subscription)

On subscriptions, don't they say "Up to"? That is an awesome speed either way! :)

Shaw just updated their Extreme package to 25/2.5

speedtest result is pretty flimsy.

kubuntu torrent download is fluctuating between 2400 - 2800 kbytes/s

bandwidth cap is still the same old 100GB/mo (ugh) but so far they don't enforce it... my usage this month is about 3x that :p

Let's find out what how much we are either getting ripped off or rewarded!.

ISP - Sky LLU

Speed - Upto 20Mb (but only getting 4Mb)

Caps - Unlimited

Price - ?7.50 ($12.40) a month

Sorry, but before we even start this, we need to be clear about 'Caps', you say yours is 'unlimited', but is the FUP been enforced on people with high usage? Because it's my understanding that it is. Also, make sure you say 'MB' and not 'Mb'.

ISP - Be*

Speed Upto 24MB (Only getting 8MB Down/1.4MB Up)

Caps - Unlimited (FUP hasn't been enforced on any heavy users, yet)

Price ?18

Current House

------------------------------------

ISP - BT Infinity

Speed - Up to 40mbps (getting 38.5 mbps)

Caps - 300GB FUP (but I think that is being removed this month)

Price - ?25 / month.

House I'm moving to in a few months

------------------------------------

ISP - ADSL24

Speed - Up to 24mbps (getting 0.5 mbps)

Caps - 30GB peak, 300GB off-peak

Price - ?20 / month.

"Mb" is quite right when measuring internet connection speed.

MB = Megabyte

Mb = Megabit

You have a 24 megabit internet connection, not 24 megabyte.

----

ISP - Virgin Media

Speed up to 50Mb down/5Mb up (getting ~40Mb down/5Mb up)

Cap - unlimited. No FUP as far as I'm aware.

Price - ?35/month.

The megabyte is a multiple of the unit byte for digital information storage or transmission with two different values depending on context: 1048576 bytes (220) generally for computer memory;[1][2] and one million bytes (106, see prefix mega-) generally for computer storage.[1][3] The IEEE Standards Board has decided that "Mega will mean 1 000 000", with exceptions allowed for the base-two meaning.[3] In rare cases, it is used to mean 1000?1024 (1024000) bytes.[3] It is commonly abbreviated as Mbyte or MB (compare Mb, for the megabit).

Haven't read of any enforcements on the LLU service, and you better inform the majority of ISPs that it's MB, not Mb.

While the general look and aesthetics remain unchanged compared to the previous gen, the Gen 2 features redesigned wear-detection sensors, which accurately pause your music the moment you take them off. Additionally, the headphones now support lossless audio via a direct USB-C wired connection, letting you enjoy uncompressed sound when plugged into your laptop or phone. There is also spatial audio support (works wirelessly) for a more immersive audio experience and improved noise cancellation, which makes the QuietComfort Ultra go-to headphones for many users on long flights or other scenarios when they need to isolate themselves from the surrounding noise. The QuietComfort Ultra (Gen 2) also features Bluetooth Multipoint for seamless switching between two devices at once. As for battery life, you get up to 30 hours on a single charge (up to 23 hours when using spatial audio). • Started implementing weapons! Here's a little sneak peek! 👀 Animation was done inside of Unreal Engine using Control Rig! Really useful tool, I don't have to go back and forth between Blender and UE, you can basically make tweaks while the game is running.
    • Keep in mind Intuit has lobbied like crazy to keep taxes complicated so they can continue to sell tax software. They also got caught hiding their legally mandated free version so they could release a second one that pushed countless people into charges they didn't need to pay to file. Intuit leads the charge on inventing problems so they can sell you the solution and disrespecting you in the process.
