High CPU usage?

Recommended Posts

I use a Surface Pro for work that I dock and remove daily, mostly without turning it off.   I recently started getting a problem that when I would wake it back up Windows would tell me I was running low on memory.  I blamed a Chrome leak and restarted Chrome which would fix the issue.  Lately at home I've been working on my Macbook also and  I noticed that it would start heating up a lot more than usual.

On both laptops I keep a tab open for Neowin: Chrome on the PC and Safari on the Mac.   I checked the Activity Monitor and the CPU usage for the Neowin tab was very high.  Once I killed it the laptop cooled off again.  Over the past couple of days I have only opened the Neowin tab when I've checked it and then closed it again.  Both the PC and Mac have resumed "normal" operation.

Could something on the site be causing this?
