Not to be bitchy or anything, but what's wrong with people helpin out and posting some little fixes for people to use? No offense, but the creator doesnt really update anything for us often. So why not let us help out the little we can? This just goes to show that we have people that think this theme is worth the trouble and its a good project that can turn out damn good if it all works out.

Out of anybody, Tweaker should be the person being thanked for the constant work he's put into this. But no you guys gotta go and flame the f'uck outta him. Seriously, If I was him I woulda said 'f'uck you guys' and left you guys to sit and wait in the darkness for the creator to do all the work.

Just remember all this help goes to everybody's benefit. So whether you like it or not, dont be a flamer and run your mouth. Take what you can get

n00dle,

Perhaps you guys have already fixed the buttons. Until you do I made my own fix which can be ssen in the attachment. The button you created was nice but I personally did like the jagged edges. That's why I messed with your's trying to make a cleaner edge. I had also notice the same problem that 'shrike' had mentioned. My solutions was going back to a Microsoft type button but using colors that would match your vs. These buttons work on all pages light and dark without any problem.

I also worked on the arrows on the taskbar. Again, I just cleaned them up to make them sharper looking to the eye. They also now have a mouse over and when clicked on they light up the same color as the Start button.

Again, if I was too over zealous in posting fixes I apologize! Perhaps as StevoCF mentioned I should have at least asked first.

Any way the screenie of what I did for my version of your vs is below. If you want the buttons and taskbar arrows I'll posted them.

You have a point but who is flaming?!?!?! I said it in a polite way... and it was said that it'd be easier if we did the fixes because you'd have to compile the theme like 16 times a day

Yeah I could see that you werent takin anything out on him. But there were a few people that told him to stop spamming and then all the n00b kids backed him up.

But anywayz, I think most of the bigger more noticable things were pretty much fixed up by people, so there isnt really much else to do besides make different colors and change the 3d shadow color thingy.

So now its just up to you when you wanna release the whole package

n00dle,

Do you guys have a problem with me posting the fixes Escalade_GT asked about until you come out with you next update? I don't want to start getting flamed again.

Escalade_GT, you can go to the sight below and download 3D Color Changer. It's freeware and can be used to change the 3D Shadow Color to whatever color you like until the update of this vs is posted.

post what you want. but i'm not changing the buttons to look like that. the vs is based off winamp, therefore the buttons will stay rounded as in winamp.

you do understand that is the whole point of the vs, don't you?

Yes, I understand & I am not in any way asking you to change the buttons. I just changed them for my personal use. If others want to do the same that's up to them.

Thanks!

wow, very nice theme... im using it right now  there's just one small problem with it... maybe it's just me but whenever i restart my computer, all the icons in the system tray are gone... it's back up when you re-do the theme again

I'ts not just you, it's a bug that they are trying to fix I do believe...

    • Still 3x what it should cost. So, it seems the trick is to increase price by 6x so that a reduction in price back to 4x looks like a steal. "You savvy shoppers win again!" I'm glad I'm not in a desperate spot to actually even need this overpriced crap. Hopefully, it comes back down by the time for when (or if) I ever do.

    • Microsoft wants to end printer driver headaches with Windows Ready Print by Usama Jawad A few days ago, Microsoft released Windows 11 Experimental build 26300.8553, bringing a ton of enhancements such as Start menu customization, search improvements, Taskbar polish, and other minor UI tweaks. Another relatively major enhancement snuck deep within the change log was related to upgrades to the Windows printing experience. Now, Microsoft has shared more details about these benefits. For starters, Microsoft has renamed its Modern Print Platform to Windows Ready Print. The company believes that this name highlights its shift in strategy, which now focuses on modernizing, securing, and streamlining the printing experience for Windows devices. Some of the upgrades present in Windows Ready Print have already been seeded to customers and partners. This includes ending support for third-party printer drivers via Windows Update and transitioning towards the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) and the native Windows IPP printer driver. In line with these changes, new printer installations will default to Windows Ready Print on eligible devices starting from July 2026. However, Microsoft recognizes that not all environments will be able to migrate to this platform immediately, so it will allow users to choose between installing the printer via Windows Ready Print or the traditional OEM process. Users will be able to toggle this configuration through Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners > Printer preferences. This control applies only to new printer installations, and its functionality can also be modified via Group Policy as follows: Launch Group Policy Editor Navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Administrative Templates -> Printers Find and select 'Configure Windows Ready Print driver ranking' -> double click to open it Select 'Enabled' (if you wish to enable Windows Ready Print driver selection) or 'Disabled' (if you wish to explicitly disable Windows Ready Print driver selection). Select Apply Select OK Similarly, if you set up Windows protected print mode through the same setting in Windows 11, it will also default to using Windows Ready Print exclusively. Microsoft hopes that these improvements will help eradicate dependency on OEM-specific driver installation processes and simplify printer installations. We'll likely find out more about other tangible benefits in the coming months.
