TheDreamX Posted January 3, 2004 Share Posted January 3, 2004 Umm, don't know what you guys are talking about, but Xbox does support progressive scan DVD playback... M$ just disabled it :p. To get it to work, you MUST have a mod chip installed and run a seperate DVD application (such as dvdx2) or a hacked version of the original dashboard, as it is another "application" that plays DVDs. Then you have to patch your choice with a program (found at xbox-scene.com under software/tools section) or Hex edit some values - check out xbox-scene.com forums for tutorials. Then you will have a progressive scan DVD player :) And, BTW, only the brand new PS2 systems support progressive scan in DVDs.
