Display wont turn off & PC wont go to sleep. Why?

Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings

 

If i have my PC doing a job (rendering a video for example) through the night, i set the monitor to turn off & the PC to go to sleep after x-amount of hours where i know the job will be finished.

 

Problem is, some times it works, other times it doesn't.

 

Last week i did this 3 days. On 2 of the days the PC was still running when i woke up. Only on 1 occasion was the monitor off & PC asleep when i woke.

 

Why does it seem to vary?

Could it be possible, an 'event' could have delayed the conversion, and it overruled the sleep commamd?

I've no idea. I'm not sure what it could be

Did you check the posts from the last thread? it could be many different things getting in the way of the system idling.
