nero alternative looking for , help please

Question

hi

for years in the past , i liked to use nero under xp and windows vista and seven

now i wanted to try the new nero 2016

but as soon i tried to install i got his

2sTaYQ9.png

well i run w10 pro 64bit

i don't want to keep windows 10 healthy

i don't know if these components could mess up my operation system or make it less stable

so i avoid to install it

i wanted to give it a try , but i stopped

is a good alternative ?

maybe an older version , or maybe other software paid or free

thanks

Imgburn, Daemon Tools, etc, are a good replacement for Nero. Have you tried installing the DirectX 9.0c Runtime? Install it, and run the nero setup again. Seems your pc is missing older dx files.

Download it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34429

Yeah. Imgburn is better than the bloated Nero. CDBurnerXP is also good. Just uncheck any crapware that it might (not always) try to install with your okay.

Windows 10 doesn't have the other dx extensions by default. So, even if you have fully updated your pc, your pc is still missing those files.

Some components of Nero 2016 need the extensions to work correctly. Simply install them, they won't damage the OS and use a very little amount of resources (a few mb?).

shampoo Burning Studio is the best competitor to nero there is. It isn't freeware though.
