does it look like that elsewhere or just Chrome? I'd lean toward blaming chrome because they don't use the native windows borders and their overwrite seems to be coded weirdly (if you compare to any other windows the min/max/close buttons are farther to the right on the UI in chrome and boarders are thinner)

Everywhere mate, stupid thick borders and massve drop shadow, I already uninstalled it because not even the registry borderwidth=0 tweak fixes it Lol.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics]
"BorderWidth"="0"
"PaddedBorderWidth"="0"

No workie

weird, never ran into that when i used it before

if you care enough you could probably post a topic about it on MSFN; the dev was good about being responsive back when i reported a couple issues back in the day :)

pretty sure it's dead yes

as an alternative I used to use the following for glass on 8/8.1 and for a bit on 10 as well; seems more reliable than a lot of the other projects from my experience.

it's been a few years since i've used it as well so it's likely only gotten more stable :)

you could check on his Deviantart that's posted earlier in this thread I believe. It does not look like he made his email public on his forum profile though.

There's also the alternative that I posted above; Glass8 is a great tool as I've used it in the past. It's as native as you can get.

yea my main issues with glass8 is that it has a watermark and it breaks way too often with feature updates. Shame the developer doesn't want to open source as it would make it would make patches to Glass8 to make it compatible with the latest version of Windows much quicker. Also if you wouldn't mind can you post the link to his deviantart?

I haven't used glass8 since windows 8.1 so it may have changed but I don't remember there ever being a watermark before. Have you posted about it in the help forums for the dev to see?

The dev hasn't been active in over a month and when I asked about making the program open source I got responses from other people such as "Because someone put time and effort into creating it and charges for his time?" and "maybe because BigMuscle doesn't want to leave his baby open source for the moment" and then someone locked the thread.

Also can you post the deviantart link as I looked through the thread and could not find anything

Hello, it looks like I may have been mistaken about there being a deviantart link or was thinking of another similar thread. I apologize on that one.

Glass8 doesn't even work on 1909 heheh I got 3 large dump files for after it crashed, which was also left behind after uninstalling it.

maybe Glass8 is on the way to becoming abandonware as well? Sounds like the dev hasn't been active even on his own forum in over a month.

You have to replace DWMCORE.DLL and UDWM.DLL with versions from 18363.720 to make it work with 18363.752 or higher (NOTE: Still doesn't make it work with 2004)

      Firefox 81 will come with new Alpenglow theme
      by Paul Hill

      If you’re a fan of the theming used by Mozilla for its Firefox range of products, you’ll like Firefox 81 when it comes out in the next several weeks. With Firefox 81, users will be able to choose the Alpenglow theme which uses purples and oranges predominantly.

      The new theme will be accessible to users from the about: addons, about:welcome, and the Customise UI menus alongside the Automatic, Light, and Dark themes that have been available to pick from for a long time already. The new theme doesn’t offer any practical benefits but if you’re a fan of the aesthetics in the new Firefox mobile browser on Android, you’ll probably be a fan of this theme too.

      In its Firefox Nightly News post, Mozilla also revealed that Nightly builds now ship with easier access to search engine one-offs and @aliases. A bug report opened three months ago suggested that one-off searches should be easier to discover.

      It’s not clear when the new search engine update will finally make it to the stable Firefox branch but users should expect the new Alpenglow theme in Firefox 81 which comes out in September.

      😄 is the internal and F: is the external disk (pic down below). (The language on my laptop is set in german so i can't name everything correctly)

      So i moved all the files into the external disk. In Settings > System > Storage > Change location for new content i've set that everything will save in F:, including applications. I usually use Opera and i download the apps from there, it asks me where to save the setup and i choose F:. But still, it actually saves all the stuff into C:. When i go to Settings > Applications > Apps & Features and filter it to only 😄 it shows the applications i tried to save in F:. Except for the apps in the Microsoft store, they get saved in F:. How can i change that? I appreciate every help.

      Linux Mint to get local network sharing tool and new theme colours
      by Paul Hill

      Over the weekend, the Linux Mint project announced that it has updated the theme colours in its default Mint-Y theme and that it's working on a local network file sharing tool. Linux Mint 20 is the next release due that's expected to become available around May or June.

      In its February update, Clem Lefebvre, head of the Linux Mint project, said that Sebastien Bouchard has reviewed the colours used in the Mint-Y theme and has come up with a new method and proposal for a new palette. Bouchard worked on hue, lightness, and saturation to make the colours more vibrant without affecting readability and comfort. Right now, the new method and palette are still being tested but it's hoped the colours can be applied to folder icons too.

      Enhanced pink colour scheme in Mint-Y. Enhanced pink colour scheme in Mint-Y. The other major announcement was that the team is developing a new program, temporarily called Warpinator, that allows you to share files over the local network. Linux Mint 6 shipped with a tool called Giver that performed a similar function. Giver was a third-party program that was discontinued and Linux Mint has lacked such a tool since. Clem said that early mock-ups have previously been worked on but there was never time to implement them until now.

      While it should be possible to install Warpinator on all Linux systems, it's unclear whether it will be able to work with similar software on Windows or Mac, there was no mention of this in the blog post. If you like the sound of this app, you can find the source code on GitHub if you want to download and test it.
