no mate, Maine coons are huge, waaay bigger than all other other domestic cats. its not an optical illusion.

For example, we all know the size of an adult Rottweiler, being an ex-maine coon owner, i can verify they are more the size of a medium sized dog, than your typical tiddles the kitty.

Jokes aside, what a beautiful story for the bad rep pitbulls get!   I know some pit owners here, who would have made catnip out of that cat.

The vast majority of US & Canadian deer are either whitetail (east) or mule (western) deer, and they range from about 40-180 kg. If DoctorD's in the US or Canada and his Maine Coon is chasing deer (very possible) it's most likely one of those.
