Pokemon Go Will Reportedly Get New Monsters This Week

UPDATE: New Pokemon to be revealed next week, actually.

Update: Niantic has officially confirmed that Pokemon Go will soon receive new Pokemon - but it doesn't seem like it tallies with the "Starbucks update".

 

In a statement, the developer said: "The Pokémon Company International and Niantic, Inc. will reveal details on December 12 about the first addition of more Pokémon to Pokémon GO, one of the most popular mobile games of the year. Stay tuned, Trainers!"

 

It seems we'll be waiting a little longer for that Johto Pokedex - but probably not too long.

 

Original story: A leak from Starbucks (who else?) may have outed that new Pokemon will be added to Pokemon Go this Thursday, December 8.

 

Reddit user alturrisi posted an internal Starbucks memo that says "the world of Pokemon Go is about to expand with new Pokemon", and explains that a new update will be released in the US on Thursday.
