Guys I upgraded our Tapatalk account to premium, they build the apps, not me :p I wasn't even notified that the Android app was in the Play Store :s

But yes it's legit.

Unacceptable.. What kind of ship are you running here

I hope there's some way to relay the feedback to tapatalk from here, as the home site dev team have an understanding of queries within the site, as opposed to contacting a third party app dev, and they respond with 'I don't know what you're talking about'

Of course we'll relay back and forth as need be, I just wanted to make it clear that we can't fix things directly ourselves. Feedback should be posted on Neowin, and then we'll collate and relay it to our contact there as need be

Can you give examples of what you can and can't change?

Essentially we can change nothing. There's an API installed on the forum that they use to grab the data, but once they have it, how they display and format it etc, is entirely down to them.

Back to the serious stuff

Could a suggestion be relayed regarding notifications?

Could they be grouped? As in, if there are multiple notifications in one topic, instead of 15 separate notes, just have it change to one notification stating the 15 responses within, bit like the one for facebook?

(I get a lot of individual notifications that have to be mass cleared or removed individually)

tbh its shaping up quite nicely, running quickly and for me responsive adding quick replies, chrome on my G3 had a habit of going a bit haywire sometimes, but this is smooth.

Had to switch off notifications though dammed device wouldn't stop dinging :p message prompts, switched most off and now running sweet.

pocket-neowin :) gets a big (Y) from me.

All in all

it's ok for what it is, (in my opinion,)

I use it as a shortcut, as logging in via chrome on my phone takes longer, had to turn off notifications though, one day I'll have to fine tune them a little (which is doable within the app itself)

    • Brave Browser 1.91.178 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. Brave Browser 1.91.178 changelog: Fixed certain extensions not working as expected. (#56271) Fixed inability to use Brave Sync in certain cases. (#55203) Upgraded Chromium to 149.0.7827.196.
