Computer Stolen!

Recommended Posts

Well from word of mouth around here(work) it sounds like i might get some help to get a new computer. It won't be as good as what i got but i'm sure it'll be better than my t-bird. Gotta love working at a big place.

Well there is a possible good in this. If you get the insurance money (around 2500$+) you will be able to get one hell of an even better system! think? 3.2GHz P4 P4C800-E Deluxe, 1GB Corsair DDR PC4000, ATi Radeon 9800XT, 120+GB HDD! It will rock!

The bad side is that you lost everything, and possibly important banking data. Bad bad. Cancel all your credit cards for secuirity.

I didn't have insurance if you read back a little bit. Plus my abit-ic7 max3 is arguable better than the p4c800-e deluxe. Also I made sure I never saved my credit card or bank account stuff on my comp. I mean unless they used revelation or some thing to uncover my passwords but those are out dated anyways.

hehe, I see what you saying my man. When you do have a lot of data, it feels like much of an hassle to backup. I have a dvd burner, but I don't really use it for backup. Haha.

Hey man, hope it all works out for you.

Well now I got my old t-bird running, went from a 3.0c p4 to a 1ghz athlon with 256mb pc2100 ram, and a whopping 6.4 gb hd. The only thing thats not a dinosaur is the 9600pro, hmmm I wonder if it will handle doom III  :p

Sorry to hear about your loss man... It's a pity you live in the US as I have a spare 40GB hard drive I could have sent you. Maybe this could have helped a little. Unfortunately mail from where I live would probably be more than the drive was worth.

I hope you get back on your feet soon.

Sorry bro; the thought of being robbed just sucks so bad. My friend just had her car stolen from a heroin addict. It's horrible what happens to people.

That's bad to hear! Hope your get your computer back. Next time this happens, make sure you remember as much information as possible about the theives. See if you can see them around town and take a note of the number plate and report it to the police.
