He went on to say the DX 8 driver will be out any day. Only while he said any day the driver guys were nodding there heads as if to say no way or was that a nod to say "No, we now have to get some work done :)". So that date is not set in stone but soon is the official answer for the drivers. Read More... The new drivers use a Direct 8 Hal, which means they will be more compatible with DX8 games. The river guys have been working hard and the team is a interesting number. We were only speaking generally but the number were around 5 to 6 working on D3D and a massive 10 working on OpenGL. He also added the Kyro II will support the new OpenGL 1.3 but it might take a while.
