Sir Topham Hatt
Been out of the Android loop for a few years. I plan on rooting for some app permissions but what are the latest must have apps? I've seen Greenify and ForceDoze are high up on the list. Any others?
Nick H. Supervisor Posted March 29, 2017 Supervisor Share Posted March 29, 2017 Actually, I got a new S7 last weekend so I've been installing all my usual apps as I remember them. I won't bother listing the games as that's more subjective, but so far I've downloaded and installed the following: Army Knife for Android aTorrent BBC News DoubleTwist (music player) ES File Explorer Lookout (security) Tasker (plus the Secure Settings add-on) TeamViewer VLC There are some apps (like Dropbox) which were already on the phone, and other apps (like Garmin Connect) which are specific to my needs, but the applications in the list above always get installed and I recommend them for people looking for various solutions. tsupersonic
Why are you rooting for app permissions? Android has app permissions editing in Nougat (and I believe in Marshmallow as well). The Evil Overlord and +JR1966 2 Share
Sir Topham Hatt
Some file explorer type apps say they need root permissions to explore the file system. I'll have to find the other one and get back to you.
