Standalone Nintendo Switch Dock Set Available From May 19th

Time to Switch docks

by Anthony Dickens

It's previously been announced by Nintendo that the company will start selling the Nintendo Switch dock as a standalone item, however further information on stock and supply has been thin to say the least.

Until today you're only option was to buy just the dock unit itself from the Official Store, listed for $59.99, which is okay, but doesn't come with HDMI or AC Power cables. Nintendo seemingly solved this problem by announcing the "Nintendo Switch Dock Set" which includes both these essential cables and will be available "in limited quantities" from May 19th in the US.

Splatoon 2 Splats on Switch on 21st July

New modes and amiibos in tow

It's a bit earlier than we expected, but we aren't complaining. The most exciting bit of news in our humble opinion was the addition of a new mode dubbed Salmon Run, in which a team of four inklings battle waves of salmon-like enemies in order to harvest their eggs.

ARMS Punches Its Way Onto Switch On 16th June

Mix and match your arms

by Darren Calvert

In today's Nintendo Direct it was revealed that ARMS will be released in stores on 16th June. That's about when we expected it to be released, but it's great to get the final confirmation.

One of the biggest features in the upcoming fighting game is the ability to equip two types of customizable ARMS per fighter. These ARMS range from standard gloved ARMS to curved weapons like boomerangs. Each ARM has a special attribute like fire, ice or electricity that activates when delivering a charge punch.

As players fight through the game, they will earn in-game currency that can be used to play the ARM Getter, a fun mode in which they can get new ARMS for their fighters. The fast-paced game can be played in 1-v-1 matches or even 2-v-2 for more entertainingly chaotic battles.
