jnelsoninjax Posted May 28, 2017 Share Posted May 28, 2017 RIVERDALE, utah— A woman was arrested Thursday after police say she locked her two children in the trunk of her car while she shopped at Wal-Mart. Riverdale police Lt. Casey Warren said police were dispatched to the Riverdale Wal-Mart after a witness called police, claiming to see a woman lock two children in her car before she left to go shopping. Comment on this story The children, ages 2 and 5, began making noise and moving frantically, causing the vehicle to shake, Warren said. "Several good Samaritans observed this and came to the aid of the children," Warren said. They instructed the 5-year-old girl to pull the emergency latch in the trunk to escape, Warren said. Child and Family Services was contacted and the children were turned over to a responsible party, Warren said.
