There is A LOT of unfounded speculation in this story. Like.. A WHOLE F-IN LOT. One of my (secondary) MSFT accounts was locked out a while ago. Once I got back into it (a few days later) it was due to an excessive amount of account access attempts from overseas bots throughout Asia and Africa. I was not in those places recently. All to say this: If Outlook.com can somehow institute near-immediate account locking procedures for as-not-yet-sent email attempts transferred via SMTP (using Thunderbird), then Skynet's Automated Defense Network is already online. And THAT is the news story. Due to its 99.999% unlikelihood of being the case, everything else about this story is hogwash and truly a non-story. -

For over 20 years I have wanted, tried, evaluated, and tried again to like love Opera browsers in all of their incarnations and design aesthetics. And for over 20 years I dutifully regret wasting time thinking they've grown up into a mature competitive mass-market browser. THEY HAVE NOT. THEIR BROWSERS STILL SUCK BALLS. JFC Opera! The *best* browser they've ever released is their "Opera Air" (minimalist/mindfulness variant) until you try to customize it and are bombarded with more crapware than a social media post by a barely-legal lady showing any signs of cleavage. -

I was one of the guys that did the upgrade on 7/29 of 2015. Then 6 years later, on August 10th, I upgraded to Win 11 and never looked back.
