yep, thumbs down is even set to a +0 so it doesn't even affect your reputation score :)

What I find more amusing, is that the email you get when someone thumbs down a post says "XXX liked a post in a topic". Then I get all excited, I go there only to find it's a thumb down ..i'm like "Aww man!"

Just do what I do in cases like this, run to the poll section and create a poll :D

Or just have a mod add a poll to this thread.

It's a bit late for that now. Judging from the results, most are happy to keep the dislike reaction as it currently is.

The feature is fine, leave it alone. There is nothing wrong with the thumbs down reaction. It's a problem with this new touchy-feely society. People need to grow a set of balls.

Heck, I found it amusing when a guy went back into a thread and disliked every post of mine and a couple others.

For me it's not the thumbs down that bothers me but when a specific user goes through an entire thread and down votes every post you make without leaving any sort of response to any of it that bothers me.

I've even had posts where someone made a good point and I'd reply with something as innocuous as "fair enough" or something similar and even that gets thumbed down without a response. At that point they're not doing it because they disagree they're doing it because they have some sort of weird vendetta and it feels extremely childish.

I feel like if you're going to go through an entire thread an down vote every post a person makes a reason should be required otherwise why are you there? If you're not adding anything to a conversation then it amounts to being a low caliber troll at that point.

    • Brave Browser 1.91.178 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. Brave Browser 1.91.178 changelog: Fixed certain extensions not working as expected. (#56271) Fixed inability to use Brave Sync in certain cases. (#55203) Upgraded Chromium to 149.0.7827.196.
