Every so often, I have to type in my pin to unlock my phone when using voice or fingerprint.  What is annoying as hell is, that this comes at times that are really inconvenient.  I use voice commands when driving and when my hands are busy.  So it is a pain to have to type in a pin every so often.  I know it is probably a security feature or something....but any way to turn this off?

On my phone its Settings > Screen lock and passwords > Password > none/pattern/pin/password.

Just a word of warning though, if you use google pay it will disable itself as there is no form of security to access the device. You should be able to extend the lock time up to 30 mins in Settings > Security, I use a Huawei so some things may be named something similar.

When you're in your car, use Android Auto in your car if it has it. If not, use the Android Auto app. Also, if you're pairing with Bluetooth, make sure you enable Android Smartlock. If connected via BT, you won't have to enter a pin.

As others have said, smartlock for the win. The only time i have to enter my pin is when I wake up in the morning after 4 hours of inactivity or when I reboot my phone. Otherwise I have smartlock setup with my smartwatch, or bluetooth headset.
