Opera 7.50

Question

Well I just downloaded Opera 7.50 Build 3494 and I am AMAZED! This program is pretty damn good. I have tried Opera loads of times in the past but never got on with it but the new UI in this version is really good (for me at least). It has so many features now!

I always kind of like the new mail client but not the browser well now it has not only newsgroup support but RSS newsfeeds and IRC client! I don't know if I will continue to use it but I am thinking of installing it on my mums computer. She is currently using Firebird but doesn't like it. In her words "it feels heavy" and I have to agree with her the UI is not as responsive as IE and other browsers. Also she gets annoyed by not being able to see the cursor in her posts on websites, etc (don't know if anyone else has had this problem?).

Anyway just thought I would make a post so that others can try out this new version of Opera. The download link is http://snapshot.opera.com/windows/o750tp1_3494.exe

Well I was round my mothers today and installed Opera 7.50 for her and she loves it! She needs to get to grips with the email client, etc. and I had to explain about newsgroups, rss feeds and IRC but none of it was "intimidating" and she isn't exactly great on computer. She really like the bar on the left. It is just first impressions at the moment but it looks like this is a keeper! She used Firebird and really liked the tabs but didn't like fact it was too buggy, she also tried Avent Browser, etc but found them all OTT. They had too many features and she was confused with all the menus.

Hats off to the Opera team. I have switched back to Firebird 0.8+ but it is still a good alternative
