One thing I did find kind of confusing, though: in the pictures AFTER it happened, Janet looks ****ed. There is a shot on MSN where she is evil-eyeing Justin while trying to cover herself up. And after looking at the pictures closely, I think the intention was for him to rip off the black part of the outfit to reveal a red bra or something. Look at the picture and you can see the red part at the top. It's obvious it was made to come off because it is button-on, but I think it was only supposed to take off the top layer.

If you saw it originally (or even just saw later video), it was *very* clear in intent, and the part that came off was *very* clearly meant to do so.

Her sun emblem piercing thing also isn't exactly what someone walks around with normally, not to mention Timberlake's "you're going to be nekkid" lyrics.

Janet pulled a staged, coy, fake, "ohmigosh, what have you done to me" thing, but she did *not* react in the slightest as she would have had it been an accident. I mean, heck,

Timberlake was fondling her breast looking for the proper release as she stood still for what? A good second just waiting for him?

Clearly intentional, and any "malfunction" was simply if even *more* was actually intended to come off (Janet did look for a bit like she might rip off even more).

Ultimately, yes, a *very* sad statement regarding MTV and what music acts (and general celebrities) these days find are their maximum capabilities to get attention.

Not a real good sign re what popular culture does and why these days, but heck, sure, were it not for such a stunt, I'd be blowing off the "music" halftime stuff as junk

and not give it a second thought.

Would indeed be nice to see a lot of college marching bands or something in the future.

If I had any hesitation before, I now just consider MTV to be an utter farce permanently.

yea but NOT on national TV and in front of cameras sending the image to thousands of homes during a ""sporting"" event in front of children. Now go back to your porno channel and perv away and stop assuming the rest of the world holds or should hold the same pathetic values you have.

lol Easy there, Tiger...

Personally, I'd much rather watch Stephen Fry on TV than have a pair of breasts thrust in my face. As for porn, I can safely say I have never watched porn in my life. So perhaps it is you who should stop the assumption? Just a thought...

Its so obvious it was part of the act.

Why would she have a ring round her nipple if it was under a bra?

It's a pierced barb dude. You don't just pull that junk out whenever you feel like it. I'm willing to bet she has one on the other side as well.

I don't know, but to me it's obvious she had no intention of exposing herself. From the way she reacted, the way she covered up, the way she looked at him...something else was supposed to happen.

Although...I'm not sure yet what that was, hahaha. Maybe he just got a little jumpy being in the presence of a grown woman :)

Either way it wasn't appealing at all. But, of course, just like Britney and Madonna, they will sell a couple more thousand albums and get unGodly attention for a month or so.

Good points. Actually, when I did see it live, I thought it was a mistake, simply because of how fast she moved to cover herself and how quick the camera went away. But, after watching the video posted on here, there is a slight pause that I didn't see the first time. I noticed his hand sliding across her chest...

Man...basically, I have no logical reason for it

I mean, Justin clearly used some force when he pulled it off...so what the hell do I know. I feel sorry for Janet, she's been a respected artist her whole career and would never have to do something like this.

But, it's done with and over. That ended up being a damn good game considering the terrible 1st half. By the way, does anyone know what song Josh Groban performed before kickoff?

Who cares anyway? She's ugly, and her breast is ugly too. Now if Britney Spear's boob had slipped, that would have been more interesting (not that I like her music, but she's cute).

I think some of this was planned... but maybe the whole thing coming off wasn't intentionnal. Perhaps the red part had to stay.

I find it very funny that everyone is so upset about seeing a womans breast for a couple of seconds and no one has said anything about the totally inapropriate wearing of the american flag by Kid Rock, not only was he disrespectfully wearing the american flag, but he then tore it off mid performance and tossed it aside. He did this without showing any respect for what it signifies for so many americans. If you want to get upset about something that should be something to get upset about.

Come on...

He didn't "toss it aside". I specifically looked. Once he started to take it off I wanted to see what he did with it. Some guy came behind him and he took it from him, without it hitting the ground. I even commented to my friends about it because I thought he was going to throw it in the crowd.

He also didn't "tear it off" he just pulled it up over his head.

Talk about looking for small fish to fry, jeeez.

soloredd: I honestly don't give a **** what Kid Rock or Janet Jackson do, but I hate for people to be ****ing hypocrites. I was merely pointing out that if all these self proclaimed, easily offended, "moral & upstanding" people were so damn offended by seeing a tittie on TV, you would think they would be offended by flagrant disrespect of their flag on TV as well.

I cant believe you guys. This poor guy was left to watch his former girlfriend and a superstar make out in front of the world without him getting a piece of it and the only redeeming chance he has is to himself make out with another superstar to get back at his ex-GF. It just so happens that the last line of the song and JJ losing her top off happened at the same time.

:shifty:  :D

So what's up with the selective moding around here? Some guys makes a wallpaper with

Radish?

    • I found that stability back then was really down to the motherboard manufacturer. Back then i stuck with Microstar motherboards and VIA chipsets as they were ultra reliable. Most stuff was done with jumpers and left little room for user created problems 👍
    • Yes, Scoop was created to promote Coreutils for Windows. You can still see early versions of their website on the Web Archive. It was a joke that nobody took seriously. Microsoft's implementation of Coreutils, however, are built in Rust.
    • Looks like EA's Star Wars Zero Company will be out this August by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Over a year ago, EA surprise announced that a team of former Firaxis members is working on a brand-new Star Wars game. Dubbed Zero Company, the title would have XCOM-like turn-based tactics gameplay as players manage a squad of professionals from all over the galaxy. Now, just ahead of an official announcement, it looks like the release date has leaked out. The upcoming Summer Game Fest presentation on Friday is when EA is supposed to show off the title's gameplay footage, with fans also expecting it to reveal a release date. However, the ever-reliable billbil-kun from Dealabs says they have already managed to find out when the game is coming out and what versions fans will have the option of purchasing. Per the leak, Star Wars Zero Company has an August 27, 2026, release date attached to it. The title is slated to release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 with a $49.99 standard and $59.99 Deluxe edition. The leaker also adds that there won't be any early access perk attached to this special edition. Pre-orders could kick off alongside the official announcement this Friday, too. For those unfamiliar with the title, Bit Reactor is developing Star Wars Zero Company with help from Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. The EA-published title is said to be set during the "twilight of the Clone Wars." We will have to wait and see if base building and management mechanics from the XCOM series will be present here, too. "You will step into the shoes of Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads Zero Company — an unconventional outfit of professionals for hire hailing from across the galaxy," reads the game description. "Hawks and Zero Company are recruited for an operation that pits them against an emerging threat that will consume the galaxy if left unchecked. To succeed, Hawks will lead a team of uneasy allies who must set aside their differences to overcome nearly impossible odds." You can catch the Star Wars Zero Company extended gameplay reveal at the Summer Game Fest showcase that's kicking off on Friday at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET.
    • All their other games always had a new cast and new story, so that's not very surprising. The new dev is worrisome though.
