Those Super Heavy chines look really massive. During booster recovery they orient SH for a belly-flop re-entry. No need for Falcon style entry burn.

I fully expect someone to tweet a seismograph tracing of that first 33 engine Super Heavy test

I believe there's only one more section and the KSC LC-39A Starship launch / catch tower will be full height*,  ready for outfitting. Then we'll be counting down to the first Florida Starship launch.

Why blow up Raptor engines? To test their armor.

 

Similar to the armor cells around Merlin engines on Falcon 9, they protect undamaged engines from a failing engine.
