Block notification panel messages

I am looking for an app you use that will block notification messages from notification panel. If there is an option that wont block email and sms ringtones that would be great.

You can block specific apps from showing notifications within the apps settings, I know that I have one app that insists on sending notifications, so I have removed that permission from the app.
