"Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology."

I know the later movies get a lot of hate but I enjoy them all. So I will watch this.

The one thing the Craig series, as I'll call it, has that the others don't is that each movie ties into each other way more than any of the past Bond series films did.  These are more direct sequels going all the way back to Casino Royale.

That's actually one of the very reasons why I like the Craig bond.

Daniel Craig has officially said (again) this is his last time playing bond! Shame tho but he's had a good run with it!

This is a shame, but on the other hand delaying it to November means I'll be free to see it in theaters for sure.

You think other films be delayed as well? Of course they want to make as much money as possible.

Any film that's banking on getting a big chunk of money from the Chinese market might be at this point since they've pretty much closed down everything for now.

Well so much for that, nothing new is coming out in the box office for the rest of 2020, think we can all expect as much.  Tenet is the last new movie we're going to see pushed out.

Well pretty smart really..in fact all movies should push that far out.

There is no safe way they can put people back in theaters without putting them at risk while they sell concessions. It gives the idiots too much of an out to keep their mask off being required on.

I wonder how long they can go without releasing something though?  All the studios are just losing money big at this rate.  Someone else has to give and push out to streaming over the winter.

Streaming is the future. We knew that many years ago when napster showed us all how easy it was to consume digital content online. It just sucks for all the people out of jobs.

<Updated thread title with new release date>

That's a pity, but if they had stuck with the original release date I wouldn't have gone to the cinema to watch it. Things are still too dicey to think about being crammed in a room with so many people.

No need to cram people in though, they could limit the number and distance people.  Then just have more viewings in general.  I don't know how many seats the average theater room holds, but half could be enough with distancing and other rules in place.  Might have to switch to a 24hr rate to and make up for the lower numbers per play.

Or just cave in and charge $20 and stream it to homes.

Kinda of related, but the UK cinema chain Cineworld is now going to shut down their cinemas after opening them for short period

I know a lot of people don't like the cinema for those annoying people who can't enjoy a film without talking/checking phones but I loved going to the cinema.

I feel like studios will have to cave. Realistically they have two choices either accept that they're going to see a dip in revenue from less people going to the cinema or push to streaming (or both)

If they keep delaying films, cinemas won't be able to stay open and they'll be forced to stream!
