Midway 2019, I'm a sucker for these based on true story WWII flicks, they get me every time.  And while everyone knows about Pearl Harbor I think very few remember how important the battle of Midway was.  9/10.

Just watched Doctor Sleep, very good movie, 9?10 for me.

Same here. Watched it a couple nights ago. Not much of a tv/movie watcher, but was a pretty good movie. Night before, I watched The Dirt. The movie about Motley Crue. Couldn't get into that dude playing Vince Neil though.

Parasite - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6751668/

Really enjoyed it.  Nicely filmed, well acted and a story that felt new to me.

Finally got around to watching the Irishman.   Top quality film if not a little bit longer than it should've been IMO.

I find that of all Scorcese's films - there feels like a lot that could be trimmed in the later acts.

...because why not.

It's kind of funny how everyone remembered that movie now because of the virus.

As for me, I watched the new Sonic movie, again, just to kill some time.  5/10 IMO.

Now that it's hit streaming early I just watched Star Wars : TROS.  Yeah, *sigh*, 5/10.   The pace is just a mess, it's one action set piece to the next.  The film doesn't take a minute to breath or develop, you just get tossed into events like you're watching it at 5x speed or something.   Jokes are bad, they didn't land for me at all.  There were 2 good emotional moments but that's it.  Such a poor ending to this saga.

Bloodshot,  5/10.

Did you like Riddick movie series or XxX with Vin?

Because I had high hopes for this one because of them ...

I am looking to watch Gentlemen and Bloodshot over the weekend.

I know Gentlemen will be good.

Bloodshot should be simple fun because of Vin badassery (I hope)

The xXx series, not really, cheap popcorn flicks.  I'm more of a fan of the Riddick series and have been waiting for a new movie for ever.  Instead we get these other little popcorn flicks.  Bloodshot is xXx level IMO.

  • Thanks 1

I'm getting ready to watch Air Force One again (I've seen it before); yes - the one with Harrison Ford's second most famous movie line. ("Get off my plane!")

The how, however, is different - Sling TV's two week free trial.

The Death of Stalin  - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4686844/

(streaming on Netflix)

7/10 - Funny movie ... fell a little off during the 3rd act but still an entertaining watch.  Steve Buscemi gave a pretty good performance.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates.
