Oldest/Longest Neowin members?

Hey who has been here from the start? I know the Neowin founders (Neobond et al) have been here from the very start, but I think I qualify as one of the very early members, having been around (mostly browsing for the last several years) these boards since 2005. (I know my profile might belie this assertion, but therein is a small story, as I once was known by another name here (raid517) and was an extremely prolific poster under that guise too. But for reasons I won't go into (but that can no doubt be easily discovered), a change in name and in behaviour at that time was sadly necessitated. But I think that having lived in purgatory for over 10 years and having been of generally good behaviour through that time - and having changed my behaviour from that of being a prolific poster to that of mostly an occasional browser, revealing my past and my full identity now is likely to pose a very low risk, lol. Not unless of course some of the longterm Neowin mods have extremely long memories and can bare grudges for almost indefinite periods. I have more than served my time I think.

But rather than being just a blatant attempt to tempt fate, what interests me is who among the old timers here still remembers me? I would welcome being able to say hello to anyone from way back then. So yes, hi everyone. I have been here almost from the start. My name is George. I should have probably done this sooner. 😊

Wow. Time does fly.

 

I do sorta miss the days of "crazy" members posting insane youtube vids, and before the politics took over. But overall I think neowin is still a fine place to visit.

Joined June 28th, 2004. I celebrated 15 years last year! It sure doesn't feel like it...or maybe it does, for me it feels like Neowin has always been here.
