It's happened a couple of times in the last 10 minutes, I'll be browsing a news item (last one was the one Edge allowing blocking of notification requests https://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-edge-version-83-will-allow-users-to-mute-notification-requests) and a minute or so in the page will change to this:

Is this a dodgy advert, really BT, or have I got another problem (doing a virus scan right now)?

I just installed an ran Malwarebytes, nothing detected.

 

The reason I suspect it was a dodgy advert was because it happened twice on this site, and nowhere else.

Happened to me a few weeks ago on a Surface Pro, ran Spy-bot nothing really stood out in the results though. Whatever it was only triggered when viewing neowin
