If you go looking for it so this you can be annoyed, then it’s there. If you accept that it’s part of life in the real world and so artistic representation would be odd to not have it then it’s less of a problem and just more character and world building.

Character introductions.  No release date so far.

Is it just me who can't see the video?  Or did they pull it?   Time to fire up the VPN and find out.

*edit* Can't seem to watch it, that's some top level region locking going on I guess.

No problems for me and I just played it.

Did she say Noonien-Singh? As in Kahn Noonien-Singh... interesting.

I was thinking the same when I saw the name.  It will be interesting to see how if at all she plays into Kahn's history.

See if going to startrek.com has a version you can watch.

Probably just a descendant at the most and a way to poke some more nostalgia at older fans.   Khan controlled a chunk of the world from what I remember back in his time, I figure he had quite the harem and loads of kids etc.

They canonized Uhura first name and gave Number 1 a full name.

They could have some fun with Kahn history... maybe that's why Bashir had such a worry about being kicked from service... augments were banned from Starfleet, but we never had any hard evidence as to why, outside of course knowing how they act in a TOS episode/movie (which haven't happened yet in SNW).. And Enterprise Arc. But I expect some character struggles if she is an augment/genetically enhanced that maybe shine more light on to that policy.

DS9 also shows the issues with genetic modification but the main reason they're banned is because of the Eugenics War, which has never actually been covered on screen...

Side note: I'm curious if S2 of Picard will reference that, since they appear to be traveling back to the 2010/20's (the year of the Ford Explorer Seven was driving in trailer).

I set mine to the U.S and could watch it. Which VPN are you using out of curiosity?

Actually I only tried it with Operas built in VPN, which is why I actually still keep Opera installed at this point.   I didn't try with one of the free ones out there.

I shocked to find that people like this tripe , i wish Abram's trek would go away

How is this Abram's trek?  All the new shows take place in the Prime timeline and NOT the Kelvin timeline.

its created or produced by Alex Kurtzman, who's an Abram's guy. He's involved in all Abram's stuff. All Star Trek since the 2009 movie I would consider Abrams regardless of the timeline.  And pretty much everything Kurtzman is involved in is terrible .... (in my opinion)
