Only 10 episodes :(

Like the other seasons.  Nothing new.  I expect the show to end with 5 seasons.

Wtf did I just watch

I’m guessing they run across a planet that has holographic technology and had a little fun.

I don’t know what’s up with them using “landlines” to communicate inside the Enterprise.

i wonder when they’ll introduce McCoy, Chekov and Sulu.

i'm sure you've put more thought into that sentence than the writers of have of any season of strange new worlds 😛

The left: “It’s bold, inclusive, and everything sci-fi should be.”
The centre: “Please. Just no more singing episodes.”

Trek has always been bold and inclusive so yeah.  SNW is just a bit more in your face about it at times.

All I care about is well written stories and quality acting.  Anything else is utterly irrelevant.

SNW isn't what I'd call a great Trek show, but it's better than Disco and most of Picard... My ratings go:

1. DS9

2. TOS

3. TNG

4. Enterprise

5. Star Trek Continues (Unofficial series!)

5.5 TAS

6. Voyager

7. Picard Season 3

8. SNW

9. Picard Season 1 & 2

10-98 Anything else they come up with

99. Discovery

Why is Voyager so low on the list? I thought it was an excellent series. I've rewatched all the way through a few times. I definitely rate it higher than Enterprise, which failed from the get-go as a series that was supposed to show Star Fleet getting started, instead I felt it wasted two seasons on the awful Xindi/time travel plot, which is tiresome and such a lazy way to do Trek (yay, let's do Time Travel  because then we can just make it up as we go along). For me the 4th season is where Enterprise got it right.

Also fully agree with Discovery ranking.

Because I can't stand it.  It and Discovery are the only 2 Trek shows EVER that I've never felt any desire to rewatch.  By rights it should be lower, but it did have SOME good episodes and ideas.  The Doctor was by far the best character of the show.

There were bits of Picard season three that i liked but overall i would never watch it again, where as i others (1 to 5) i've watched many times.

I watched bits of that section 31 film out of morbid curiosity. I turned it off after the "Irish" robot in a Vulcan body appeared.

It won't be for a fair while, but I *can* at least see a point where I'll rewatch season 3.

It always bugged me in voyager that the two parter , year of hell wasn't a full season. And then I found out later that the writers wanted it to be a full season but rick Berman wouldn't let them. Such a waste. There's a lot of that in voyager where they should have taken some more risks.

I agree with what you said about enterprise, another wasted opportunity. The first season should have been about them just getting off the ground, instead it had klingons in the first episode.

The time travel was nonsense too, specially since all we knew of Scott bakula was quantum leap and time travel

A few things I am wondering about for S3:

A.  What's Pike doo gonna look like this time around....yea I've watched the trailers & it looks poofed up, but still....

B. When will the unintelligible, physco-babbling Pelia go away (or at least learn how to speak English properly, without that crappy, slurred accent that sounds like she's on crack, Mary Jane, & LSD at the same time) ?  Hopefully Scotty's arrival will mean her departure is near....

C.  When do we get to see more of the stunningly gorgeous No. 1, preferably in regular/civilian clothes that show off her physical attributes better ?

D. Is Spock EVER gonna get laid properly, human style ?  I feel certain that Christine could make any Vulcan-human horizontal bomp a thing to remember for a LONG time :D

E.  Can we PLEEEEEEZE get rid of the hatchet-head/buzz cut hair styles on Ortega & anyone else that has it....

But otherwise, as Pike says:  HIT IT !

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.

    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
