Keyboard Cowboy
Wanted to flash it with just a stock ROM by using these instructions, https://gsm-flash.com/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-5g-firmware-sm-n986/. I'm trying to enable the OEM unlocking option but I'm not seeing it in the Developer Options. Is it really that important? Never flashed a phone before so I really don't want to punk something up... xpablo
Might have better luck asking your question at XDA developers forum. https://www.xda-developers.com/tag/samsung/

Some phone carriers lock down the phones. Like Google phones bought from the carrier are diff then buying direct from Google. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oem-unlock-option-missing.4182509/

PGHammer
What software are you using to flash the Note in question? As long as the phone is truly unlocked, ODIN or Heimdall will work on any Galaxy S or Note. (Before I moved to my Pixel 3a, I had a Galaxy S7 as my daily driver (it is the 3a's backup now, and remains usable; The primary US carriers do not sell permalocked Galaxy devices; at worst, they are only locked for as long as you are paying on the phone. If you purchased the phone outright - and yes - this includes the Note series - that should not be the case.)
