-T- Member Posted January 12, 2021 Member Share Posted January 12, 2021 I avoid it wherever possible, only ever pay with Apple Pay. If they don’t support it, they don’t get my business 🤷🏻♂️

I still carry my checkbook with me. 43 minutes ago, Tangerine221 said: I try to use cash. I had a period when I used only cash, and there was a period when I used only a debit / credit card. And I've noticed that when I use cash, I'm more frugal and spend a lot less money. Because when you pay in cash, you hold this money in your hands and realize that if you buy it now, this money will no longer be there, and then you think well whether you really need this thing or not. And when you pay by card, you don't care because you don't see this money. That's why I always try to have cash with me. That's exactly right. As Dave Ramsey says, there is pain associated with cash. He says here is how the transaction works between cash and debit / credit You give them your debit or credit card to buy something, the card is returned to you. You give them cash to buy something the cash never returns. (Except for change)

+Biscuits Brown MVC Posted January 12, 2021 MVC Share Posted January 12, 2021 I usually carry a bit of cash. I stop at a local farmers markets and they only take cash and occasionally I shop at a local chain grocer that only accepts cash. This chain caters to the lower income/marginally legal demographic who typically do not use credit/debit cards. Oddly enough this is the only store that I can buy a frozen mince pie around the holidays!

LOL I know right, but no I have exceedingly more than that and I'm an upstanding member of society. It's mainly because I do work sometimes for people at their homes and they pay in cash and I literally cannot be bothered going to a bank. Then at shops etc I always use my phone/watch or on rare occasions I use cash if it starts getting too much in the wallet Steven P., adrynalyne and Dick Montage 1 2 Share
