There's a learning curve to anything that's new, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't make the change when something comes along that's either better or because of other reasons, in this case, political because of Trump. -

"Based on testing performed by Microsoft in December 2024 using Geekbench 6 Multi-core score comparing a selection of Windows 10 PCs with Intel Core 6th, 8th and 10th generation processors and Windows 11 PCs with Intel Core 12th and 13th generation processors." Imagine that, modern CPUs are faster than old outdated ones. Astonishing! -

True, 15 years ago, it wasn't possible to be a gamer on Linux without missing out, Valve with the Steam Deck have shown that now it's possible, it's more or less the same for Windows apps on Linux. A lot has changed from back then and it's far more feasible to make the switch today and in some ways, there's a big incentive to do so thanks to Trump. -

That's what I thought, a heck of a lot has changed since then, most Windows software and games even run through Linux now, so it's not like businesses have to switch apps they use on Windows, they can do so overtime. -

That was quite some time ago and a lot has changed over that time in favour of Linux, especially in being able to run Windows software and games. Basically, it's much easier to make the switch to Linux without really losing out on anything. Also, considering that countries and cities keep attempting to make the shift is quite telling, it's only a matter of time before they end up doing the shift for the long run and with that, others will follow.
