Opera. Best browser ever with Firefox in 2nd. Opera somehow manages to provide more features in a way it doesnt NEED extensions yet its about half the size of firefox and has an email client, irc client, and rss news reader.

More features in one package... what if all these features aren't used by more than half users ? Who needs an irc client built-in the browser ? Thats called BLOAT ! Completely useless and unecessary.

Its like saying Car X is better than Car Y because it can tell you the temperature in australia, tell you if its snowing in Canada and because it tells you your horoscope. While these features are interesting... they are USELESS for MOST users hence why they should be an OPTION and no integrated into the browser.

With FFox you can add the features YOU want on the fly, hence why FFox is not bloated with features... you can remove/add features completly and no enable/disable like Opera.

Opera is best if you do tons of stuff on the net IMO.

Firefox is also good but to me works best for quick trips to the net. Like you just want to hit google and type somthing. Its def the best when used with appz like Dreamweaver cause it's better than IE and loads faster than Opera.

As a side note I use both if you think about it why does somthing have to be the BEST. I mean come on if you like 2 types of progs just use em both. :p

Exactly. If you want to use IRC, get a real IRC-client (like mIRC). If you want to browse the Web, get a webbrowser (FFox).

IMHO an application should only have 1 central task and be good at it. Not do 15 fifteen reasonably well.

Here's a quick comparison of both browsers at their default state after installation. Notice the difference...

they manage to imploment it and the things opera does it does BETTER than firefox equivelent extensions.

Favicons always save in bookmakr toolbar which Firefox doesnt.

Chat which is just what I need and like and I like having it in the browser and it doesnt bloat the feel of the browser

RSS works for me unlike Firefox Extension

Tabbed browsing is always in single window mode unlike firefox

and your car comparison is completly off. IRC is something useful that i always do at the same time as i am browsing.

either way, I just find i have a better web expierence in opera and get more done with less setbacks.

I did use Firefox for 7 months so I know what firefox has and have tried many of the extensions.
