The Definitive "BEST BROWSER" thread

Thank god for this thread.. i havent been able to tell folk what my favourite browser is for over a week now and i was getting worried.

FireFox... anyway...

what I like about FireFox compared to ANY other browser is the fact that it comes with only basic (yet powerful) features. If you want more you just go download the extensions. Opera might have 'em all in one package, but its considered bloated to someone who only needs a 10th of them.

On FFox they (extensions) are there or they aren't, AT ALL. While on Opera you have to turn them ON or OFF... either way they're still there !

To me, right after its install, FFox feels robust and clean while Opera feels Bloated and cluttered

the favorites menu is a freaking mess, and it just feels clunky I'll admit that it's better than the old mozilla, but that only because it's trying to copy netcaptor

unfortunately netcaptor doesn't seem to be interested in really adding new features, so although it's my favorite

avant or slime browser, and myie continue to add or improve new features, so for now they will get my votes as best

i love firefox. i do my own optimized builds with the configuration that i like so i can customize it as i please. not to mention there are some great themes and extensions for it.

Opera. Best browser ever with Firefox in 2nd. Opera somehow manages to provide more features in a way it doesnt NEED extensions yet its about half the size of firefox and has an email client, irc client, and rss news reader.
