IE6 is by far the most secure broswer. NOT! Geez, IE is by far not the most secure. Man, look at all the security problems and vunerablities that it has. They are always having to release patches to fix those problems. Mozilla or Firefox are excellent browsers to use that are secure.

Errr... right... except not. There is a browser that gets your system infected by opening a wrong kinda jpg and there are several browsers that don't..

IE is just as secure as any other browser if you don't install spyware crap on it or anything. Granted there are security fixes, but they are to fix minor buffer overflows. I would think FireFox is more secure because it is independent of the OS and if something goes wrong, only the browser is affected, not the entire OS.

That is true, if you install a malware proggie on purpose firefox/opera/whatever can't do a jack. But that's all well and beside the point. The point here is that IE has security vulnerabilities that don't necessarily require doing anything other than clicking on a wrong link.
