Mindovermaster Moderator Posted July 27, 2023 Moderator Share Posted July 27, 2023 I recently reinstalled my OS on my computer. I remember that signing in with Facebook or Google would work. But as I did it a few minutes ago, neither of those were working.. Facebook was saying it has the wrong link, and Google would just sit there and do nothing. Might be something to look into.. What would you think reinstalling your OS would have anything to do with logging into a website? Why are you using any of those to logon to an account for anything anyway? It worked fine before I reinstalled my OS. THAT'S why. Several times I have logged in with Google. But now, it didn't work for me..

There's something called persistent session. If you log on Neowin every day or so you don't have to login again so even if the login somehow doesn't work your session will still be valid. Re-installing your OS will invalidate your persistent session. In fact just restoring an image you took with something like Aomei Backupper will often invalidate your sessions.
