Aptos is the new Default Font for Office

Recommended Posts

Following on from THIS THREAD and THIS WEBSITE, it appears Microsoft have officially replaced Calibri in Office.

"Aptos, previously known as Bierstadt, was introduced in 2023 as the new default font for the Microsoft Office suite, replacing the previously used Calibri font."

They actually replaced it in July but I'm surprised they haven't updated everyone's Office 365 to reflect this.
Maybe I missed this?

guess this wasn't as important of a change as adding a toggle to make Office open everything in Edge was ... /s

Aptos looks like a nice font.  Easier to distinguish between a lowercase l and uppercase I.  Also doesn't appear to have obvious ligatures, which is an annoying part of Calibri.
