Hello,

This is the new yearly poll for sharing your preferred storage solutions and covers both hard disk drives and solid-state drives.  The previous year's poll can be found here.

Please feel free to describe what you are currently using this year, plus any planned upgrades.

Regards,

Aryeh Goretsky

Currently using Samsung NvMe 500GB Boot Drive,  Samsung 860 Evo 1TB game SSD, and Western Digital 4TB Storage drive---Debating on updating Boot NVMe to 1TB possibly Western Digital or Samsung Model depending on what i can afford when birthday comes around in February, be nice to use 1 Dashboard in the future for all Drives--instead of Samsung Magician like currently, and Western Digital Dashboard for other drives

HDD:

I recently went with 20TB Toshiba Enterprise MG10ACA20TE drives when upgrading my home server.

These drives had a 5 year warranty, seemed to get great reviews and were a fair bit cheaper than the equivalent Western Digital or Seagate drives here in the UK at approx. £300 per drive. Historically I'd used Western Digital drives when I last upgraded the server around 10 years ago.

SSD:

In my main PC I've used Samsung SSD's for the last decade. Currently I have a 2TB 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD as the sole drive.

For my pfSense router / firewall I have a 128gb Patriot P300 M.2, in my home server / NAS I have a 2TB Patriot P300 for Docker containers and VM's. These were both chosen for their very low idle power consumption due to the devices been on 24/7.
