So I have completely redone this as per the below.  I'm awaiting a 5070ti because... well why not.  And am CONSIDERING a 9950X3D (but awaiting costs and benchmarks).

Such a lovely case! Would definitely upgrade to this coming off a Lian Li Evo Dynamic.

One of the pain points of my case is that I can't use any of the PCIe slots, or my SSD radiator+fan when the vertical bracket is installed, so I have had to leave my GPU horizontally installed. It looks like the HYTE Y70 Touch Infinite ATX Mid Tower Case allows for vertical GPU and full access to the other slots and room for SSD fan mounts

Note the update, I'm not getting the Hyte Y70 anymore - that Montech looks darned good though!

i checked the VRM temps for both the ASRock X870 and Gigabyte B650M, both of them offer excellent cooling overall. Outside of that, you can choose based on what features are important to you on a motherboard.

I recommend swapping the memory kit to something EXPO-certified though, AMD chips can often be more sensitive to RAM. Have a look at the QVL list on the motherboard's support site for EXPO memory.

I built a PC for work that I'll use as a VR showpiece and I used the Tower 200 version.  It's a nice form factor for displaying on a table and had nice paths for cable management.
That Montech case is slick though.  It'll just be a little limiting for how you orient it on a table to maximize the view of the glass and have easy access to the I/O ports.

Never saw the 600 version of that. Looks nice

Having checked, Corsair only do EXPO certified RAM to 6000mhz, whereas the RAM I have selected is 6400... - that's not a tiny difference - How important do you feel EXPO is?

I'd say EXPO is crucial coz AMD CPUs and especially X3D can be very sensitive to memory, Memory training issues can persist despite fixes: https://www.neowin.net/news/after-fixing-ddr5-memory-training-and-speed-amd-ryzen-desktop-am5-apus-seem-ready-to-fly/ Definitely go with something on the QVL list and EXPO checked.

Also, if you are not familiar, these 3D V-cache CPUs from AMD do not really need high speed memory since it already has plenty of that excellent low-latency cache on board.

You are better off with EXPO-certified 6000 memory, or even 5600 for that matter.
