Revert NEW Homepage Design To Something Useable

Is this what causes the continual pages crashing mobile Safari?

Here is a developer tip. Check more browsers than Chrome before rolling something out. BrowserStack is an excellent tool.

It’s properly screwed on mobile

I keep getting page crashes. Did Microsoft have a hand in testing this?

I'm not getting the page crashing, mainly because mine is still on tiles but the 3 across with the community feed further down is a little wonky, also it's not fitting the content to the screen size on my iPhone :/

+1. This is awful, go back. The site looks broken on desktop Edge and desktop Firefox. Did you guys actually try this design before going public with it? Because I'm having a hard time believing that something like this could have slipped through with proper testing.

Windows 11 25H2 26200.6584
Edge 140.0.3485.94

Mobile Edge also has issues with it (Android 15, Edge 140.0.3485.98).

The benefit of working in production; it’s always up to date!

Ya, the new layout is pretty bad. Why do I have to scroll down to see latest community activity. It should be in the top right were it's always been.

It's broken with ANY sort of ad-blocker. You get a message that load.html is blocked and you get

I turned off my ad-blocker just to check if anything changed, and no, the site remains broken, so the ad-blocker isn't the problem.

I just can't believe how these people went public with this design in this state, they really did a Windows 11 here. The issues are so big and obvious that you can say that zero testing was done before pushing it to production. Wow, just wow.

i really want to know the design choice or why they think that the new design improve anything over the original, for instance we have so much wasted space on left and right space that could be use for the community stuff and the poll,  for many things now we have scroll between redundant content  and even worse there are no consistency its just content over content with no logical order or even any resemblance of clarity.  We are talking about the design then the next thing its the bugs, the error prompts hitting cancel allow me to watch the content when pressing ok make it even worse and time wasting process that will repeat itself, again i question all the thing involved in the process of why they change it

Just have to refresh the page a couple times.

Looks like it might just be dns-based blockers. I turned off Wipr and it still crashed, but removing Pi-hole fixed it.

Not that I am going to do that past testing.

Nope, I turned off the ad-blocker and Edge's built-in Tracking Protection, closed the browser, loaded the site again a couple times and the problems are still there.

I don't have any DNS-based blockers like Pi-Hole or AdGuard currently running, just a browser extension (Adblock Plus).

Well I’m done trying to understand wtf they did here then. 😂

When I first saw the homepage, I thought they actually broke the coding somehow.  Glad I'm not the only one that thinks it's atrocious in its current state.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
