There is an ever-growing demand for YouTube, where people are ditching their TVs for YouTube. To further increase demand for its service, YouTube will start providing an ad-free experience to users in the live streams, with certain conditions to keep the stream more engaging.

According to YouTube, in its latest blog post, a creator can thank a fan by giving an ad-free window whenever the fan shows support for the creator with super chat, super stickers, or gifts. An update will soon be rolled out where YouTube will create a dedicated ad-free window, which will automatically work when the creator enables automatic ads.

On the other hand, YouTube will also keep an eye on the live chat, and when the engagement is at its peak, it will automatically turn off the ad playback for a brief moment for everyone, in order to maintain momentum.

YouTube says, “We’re making it easier for your community to show their support in the moment. Now, viewers can send gifts on your horizontal live streams — in addition to vertical — directly from their mobile device.” This means that the fans can send super chat and stickers not only from their mobile devices, but also from their desktops and TVs.

In addition to these features, the creators will have an option to go live in both horizontal and vertical formats simultaneously, and the fans will be able to share a single live chat. Also, there will be additions in the customization tools, such as vertical cropping layout in live studio, and multiple stream keys, etc., in future updates.

With these updates, YouTube strives to remain top dog in the live streaming space while allowing creators to stay connected with their audience in a hassle-free manner, while generating revenue.
