Plex are upping their Lifetime Pass to $750 from July 1st

Update on Plex Blog, but the bottom line is that Plex is upping their Lifetime Pass option from $250 to a whopping $750!

The $75 i paid back in 2013 seems an amazing deal in comparison.

From a new customers point of view its a big ask to pay $70 to steam your own media every year, so even at $250 i'd say the lifetime licence made sense if you planned to use Plex for a few years.

If I was a new comer though at $750 for a Plex lifetime licence i'd have to consider other options, especially when Emby is $119 for a lifetime licence and Jellyfin is free and open source.

umm ya I got it a while back, under 100$, no way would I even think of going over that to get it now.  (for $750 I'd put my movies and photo's on USB drives an just take them around, honestly not a fan of the newest interface on Roku for it anyway, an neither are my friends).
