Sony's new gaming monitor and FlexStrike fight stick get August release dates

After a long wait, Sony has finally attached release dates to a couple of its upcoming gaming accessories

In 2025, Sony unveiled three new pieces of hardware aimed at the gaming crowd. This included a fight stick dubbed the FlexStrike, the Pulse Elevate wireless speaker set, and the creatively named "27” Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook." After a long wait, the company has finally attached firm release dates to a couple of those products.

The FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick is coming out first. Supporting both PC and PlayStation 5 consoles, this is to be Sony's first foray into the dedicated fighting game hardware space. The fight stick is slated to launch on August 6, 2026, landing just in time for the new PlayStation and PC title MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.

The package will include a sling carry case for transporting the device and a built-in rechargeable battery so that "it’s easy to bring your fight stick to a tournament, meetup, or a friend’s place to jump right into the action," per the company.

The FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick pre-orders will begin on June 12, 2026, for $199.99 USD | €199.99 EURO | £179.99 GBP | ¥34,980 JPY.

Next, the 27” Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook has an August 27, 2026 release date.

"We’ve continued to see more players playing games outside of the living room – especially in personal spaces and on desktop gaming setups," said the company. "The 27’’ Gaming Monitor with DualSense Charging Hook is built for players who want a high-quality display experience beyond the living room TV."

The monitor has a 2560 x 1440 resolution display with HDR and VRR support. Its refresh rate goes up to 240 Hz (only 120 Hz on PlayStation 5 and 5 Pro consoles.)

Available in the US and Japan only, the monitor pre-orders are slated to kick off on June 5, 2026 for $349.99 USD | ¥49,980 JPY.

The Pulse Elevate Wireless Speakers did not get a release date alongside the other products, but Sony did confirm that they will be releasing later in 2026. These pair well with the aforementioned monitor, according to the company, and support both PC and PlayStation as well. The dual speaker setup comes with built-in rechargeable batteries and a microphone for usage as a headset replacement.
