Now that I'm back home and my monitor has dried off a bit, it isn't blanking out on me or giving me wierd buzzing noises, but the convergence was TOTALLY out. With a little adjust I managed to get the horizontal in line, but the Vertical Convergance is out by about 1.5 pixels for each color. Is it possible it just needs a little more drying? Rip that sucker apart and pull out a blowdryer, and go at it. Leave it unplugged (and preferably open) overnight at least. Then fire it up, and if it still doesnt work, invest $40 in a new monitor.
