don't have any timebomb whatsoever

The expiration date is for Windows, not the service pack. SP2 (I'm assuming you meant SP2 and not SP1 ;)) does not have any sort of "time bomb" in it. The integrated images will have an expiration date because you're installing Windows, not just a service pack.

Anyways, back on topic, what's the difference between this build and the original WMP 9 (apart from the build number)?

All I got was an error saying wmploc.dll had a wrong version number and my choice was to re-download WMP from microsoft.com or exit. It would be nice if we knew what files to put where.
