With this update, Windows Firewall allows FTP clients to download files using Active FTP. Critical Update for Windows XP Service Pack 2 Release Candidate 1 (KB838906) This update addresses an issue that may cause VPN connections made through some Linksys gateway devices by computers running the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Release Candidate 1 to fail after five minutes. Critical Update for Windows XP Service Pack 2 Release Candidate 1 (KB838904) This update modifies Windows Firewall in Windows XP Service Pack 2 Release Candidate 1. With this update, administrators are now permitted to add programs to the Exceptions List through Windows Firewall notifications, unless this action is explicitly blocked by Group Policy.
