skin2.zip

Link doesn't work over here. I like that a whole lot though. Does it not work for anyone else?

Edit: Works now, thanks :D

Nice clock, many thanks for it. Also thanks for all guys posting nice skins keeping me busy trying all of them...

Somebody already requested an option for showing also week numbers in the calender ? And maybe showing weekends or some customizable days (saturdays, sundays in my case) in different colors ?

Also, is it just me who thinks there's too much free space on the left an right side of the clock, making the tray unnecessarily big ?  I couldn't find a setting in metrics that makes the overall width of the clock smaller.

I tried my best to make the left and right spacing the same as the default clock. The spacing might look bigger when there is only a single digit hour displayed(e.g. 3:30). Exit lclock, I bet the total space it was using is no more than the default windows clock.

NeoTech, I messed up skin2.zip. Just fixed it now. :p

btw, I updated skin1.zip with some extra backgrounds: two without shadow and one of them have square edges at the bottom. You might have to reload this page to see the new image:

Rcube, of course you are right when the clock shows only one digit hours. i talked especially on the right side of the clock, which in my opinion has a lot of free space to the right border of the tray. i always thought you would implement another type of information to show up there (e.g. weekday as proposed by KriTenKs). but general consense in the forum seems to be not to show any more information there. so i think that free space is wasted, or should at least be configurable if possible.

If asked, i would give my vote to add some more selectable information in that space (e.g. weekday name, week number, ...)

Thanks again for your nice work, RCube.

Hum, I think a screenshot of your clock would help.

As for other info to show up in the systray, that is a maybe for now. Even if I do it, it won't be done anytime soon. I have other features I need to implement first. :p

A very nice enhanced tray clock. Could I ask for a small enhancement? Please could the alarm msgbox to be placed on top of all windows so that it can be seen. I don't use sounds for alarms.

Thank you,

Indoda

good idea and welcome to Neowin

See what ya think. I left the image in the corner and left it gray because I thought it still went with it. Haven't changed the buttons, but I probably will later on. It would sorta make it look better and go along with the blue better. Oh, and it's still transparent, but I took the picture on a white background.

Here's some green buttons incase anyone wants them. Was making them to go with the skin mod I made, but they don't go to well :p.

Edit: Updated the picture and the zip so there isn't any blue in it now.

LClock 1.62b is out.

The main purpose of this version is to have better skin support.

The following allows you to control where the calendar is drawn on the background:

CalRasterizedOffsetX=0

CalRasterizedOffsetY=0

CalRasterizedWidth=-1

CalRasterizedHeight=-1

With those in place, we can have skins like glass:

    • Funny, but I didn't had the issue. All PC's at work are Dell and we had the culprit version of Support Assist for about 2 weeks until we got the new one. No problem at all. And for checking you can also use Dell Command Update, no need to search in windows settings. Just check the Upgrade History.
    • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Apple are scared of their customers! They have built a brand over the years of "it just works out of the box", but that slows innovation. Samsung's master stroke was the Galaxy Ultra: "Let's cram everything into one handset, make it so stupid only real nerds will love it, some of the features will work, some won't, but the audience will have such a high tolerance they won't care". Apple has no such device and so they are constantly worrying these days about the fallout of creating a new experience that customers might not like. I know it is often cited the reason they don't build a touchscreen Mac Book is they don't want to cannibalise the the iPad market, but I think it's equally cold feet after the criticism Microsoft receive trying to make a touch compatible desktop OS

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
